Why are Africans so keen to get rid of their own race?

In Africa you find that there is almost a resigned attitude to such as disease, famine, wars, road accidents, infant mortality, poverty, etc, all of which are not really necessary but are allowed by Africans to carry on regardless. They are mostly caused by general laziness and government corruption. Why are there no visionaries in Africa? Why has nobody ever looked at the welfare of the race? Why are Africans so keen to help get rid of their own race? I am Zimbabwean myself and my nation is so promiscuous nearly a third are on HIV death row.
