Has anybody gotten a job, regardless of failing only the THC portion of a hair follicle exam?

I am a college student, and I have to take a hair follicle exam for a 3 month summer internship. Is it just me or is it crazy to expect a college student to p a hair follicle exam with only weeks notice? Have any of you failed the THC portion of the test, and still gotten a job? I would think that most college students would fail a follicle pre employment test.
