What does being stung by a wasp feel like?

I am 41 and have never once been stung by a wasp. I have a morbid fear of the damn things and flap around like hell when one is around me. I know others like me who hate the things and start freaking out when they are near, and funnily enough none of them have been stung before either. All the people who tell me to just stay calm and not freak seem to have all been stung before, so I don't really think their advice works. What I want to know is just how much does it hurt? I have tattoos, and they kinda pinch a bit to have done, is it worse than that? Maybe if I knew the pain wasn't really that bad, I wouldn't start dancing like a fairy and making a twit of myself, I'd rather be stung.
