Wedding reception dinner ideas?

We are getting married on August 7th, 2010, and I need dinner ideas. We are doing a semi casual wedding. We are getting married in a church at 5pm, I am wearing a white dress, with groom and other wedding party wearing tuxes, and obviously bridesmaids wearing dress. We aren't having a $30,000 wedding, so we aren't thinking steak and crab legs served by caterer and servers. We were initially thinking BBQ meat(bitesize), ham/turkey tail sandwiches, salads (potato, pasta, fruit ect..) & relish tray. Just simple, not so expensive meal for 80-100. But the more I think about it, the more I think it just doesn't sound right, but I don't have the money to spend $5000 on the meal alone! Also, before people suggest it, we don't want off the wall, weird food, and nothing like salmon or anything fishy.
