Live lil bat in the fireplace..........?

hey i got a live bat in my fireplace which has a chimney that something a bats size or smaller can come in, but uncommonly leave. my fireplace is an electric one. how or who can get it out? im not lookin for extermination im trying to get the bat out alive.or is it done for? (plz do not say it is unless it actually is) and also can the chimny be closed up so no other creatures can get in? how?
